Today I’d like to chat with you about the importance of understanding how your retirement accounts such as IRA’s and 401k’s can be affected by your estate planning.
A few years ago now, congress changed the way that you can pass down these retirement accounts to your children and other loved ones aside from your spouse. These changes were very significant and can have significant financial consequences to your children and other loved ones if you don’t properly plan.
