Hi. My name is Paige Fox. I’m a Senior Associate attorney here at Dent Coulson Elder Law. And I understand these topics are very complex, so I’m hoping these Elder Law Minutes can bring some insight and some more understanding to both potential clients and current clients. Thank you. So what exactly is Elder Law? I would say that in my nine years of practicing elder law, I have come across a lot of different topics that kind of are encompassed in elder law, including not only estate planning and various types of estate planning, but also asset protection, long term care planning, guardianship, probate, trust administration, various other areas of law that kind of all are encompassed in elder law.
Because really, the whole focus of our practice is to not only make sure that younger clients who need estate planning or potentially are looking to do asset preservation, but more importantly, those who are, elder and who are potentially looking to retire or may need long term care and in the future, being able to assist those individuals in not only their estate planning matters, but also in order to protect assets for themselves and their loved ones if they need to go into long term care or to assist with the complexities of probate and guardianship.
